  • Binh N. Nguyen

    Binh N. Nguyen is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Geography at McGill University. Born in Hanoi, Binh focuses on studying the interplay between informal mobility and the digital infrastructure of platform mobility in urban Vietnam. Binh is currently working on his PhD research with Prof. Sarah Turner about the transformation occurring to the livelihoods and mobilities of motorbike taxi drivers in Hanoi.

  • Michelle Kee

    Michelle Kee

    Michelle Kee completed her MA in the Department of Geography at McGill University in 2024. Michelle uses ethnography and video production to understand the social impact of new transportation infrastructure in urban Vietnam, such as the new Hanoi Metro. Michelle has also previously conducted research with graffiti creators in Hanoi (Kee, Turner & Labbé 2022).

  • Charlotte Weiler

    Charlotte Weiler completed in 2021 a Honours Thesis titled “Conflicting Infrastructure: Nature, Species and Roads in Hemis National Park” in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at the University of Guelph. Charlotte’s thesis explores the social and environmental impacts of increased road development in the Hemis National Park (Ladakh, India).

  • Mallory Travis

    Mallory Travis is a BA student in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at the University of Prince Edward Island. In 2022, she worked as a research assistant and focused on the consequences of Labour Acts in India on working conditions in Hyderabad. She also coded and classified archives regarding industries and infrastructures development in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

  • Minh Le

    Minh Le is a BA student in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at the University of Prince Edward Island. As a research assistant, Minh Le has collected video archives on infrastructure development in Vietnam. Minh is currently completing a Honours on the importance of digital media for education and professional opportunities, following fieldwork in Hanoi (Vietnam) in 2023.

  • Prabhatha Meduri

    Prabhatha Meduri completed a BA in the Department of Psychology at the University of Prince Edward Island. As a research assistant, Prabhatha collected and translated video archives on labour practices and infrastructure development in India. In 2023, Prabhatha also produced photographs of new and projected infrastructures in Hyderabad and combined this visual material with GIS data analysis.

  • Peter Macmillan

    Peter Macmillan is a BA student in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at the University of Prince Edward Island. As of 2025, Peter is preparing for an honours project that will consider infrastructures, mobility, and labour realities in South India.

  • Tenzing Palmo

    Tenzing Palmo is a first-year MA student in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at the University of Guelph. For her MA thesis, Tenzing Palmo is working towards a research project in the Changthang region of Ladakh in India. She will be exploring the concepts of infrastructure and mobility through the road networks and prefabricated huts in Changthang with the local pastoral community of Chang-pa.

  • Ananjay Sardana

    Ananjay Singh Sardana is an undergraduate student majoring in psychology and minoring in diversity and social justice at the University of Prince Edward Island. Starting in 2025, Ananjay will work as a research assistant tasked to collect and categorize archives and media artefacts pertaining to the relationships between gender identity and labour in the context of the construction of new infrastructures in urban India.
